SNOWMOBILING IN CHETWYND
Unforgettable adventures
The variety of trails and riding conditions make every trip unique

SOFT LANDINGS: You’ll have an awesome time tearing through the mounds of powder that cover Chetwynd’s mountains and valleys.

With a jagged landscape full of snowy mountains, lush valleys and scenic lakes and rivers, it is no wonder Chetwynd, B.C.—nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains—attracts snowmobilers from all over Western Canada and the United States.

The call of the wild
The towering mountains surrounding Chetwynd seem to beckon to riders, taunting them and challenging them to come and play in the virgin territory that is so abundant in this region. With steep slopes, deep snow and areas that reach up to 7,000 feet in elevation, even the most experienced of snowmobilers will put their skills to the test while riding in Chetwynd’s majestic setting.

And with so many mountains surrounding the small community—such as Mount Hulcross, Mount Bickford, Mount Solitude, Mount Chamberlain and Mount Le Hudette—snowmobilers will never have a shortage of spectacular and thrilling riding destinations within a close proximity of town.

Hot spots
Although there are dozens of good locations to snowmobile around Chetwynd, one of the most popular areas is Hassler Mountain and Trail—which is a ton of fun for all levels of riders and can be accessed from the Hassler Forest Road off Highway 97. Bickford Mountain is another sure bet, although it offers a slightly more extreme ride with trails that rise above the 5,000-foot mark. Pine Pass Trail and Silver Sand Trail are two other routes that are very popular among locals; both have a large network of tracks that vary in difficulty and take snowmobilers over a variety of terrain.

Great little town
Chetwynd is an activeand fun community that welcomes tourists and snowmobilers with open arms. The quaint town has great dining and accommodation facilities, as well as an aquatic centre with a wave pool and gigantic hot tub that provides the perfect opportunity to wind down after an exciting day out on the mountains.
