SNOWMOBILING IN VALEMOUNT
Take it to the top
This region has it all for those who seek superlative alpine riding

TONS OF POWDER: Valemount is without a doubt a snowmobiler’s dream come true. For starters, the area is known for its sunny weather and ample snow.
If you are looking for the ultimate ride, then you’ll want to include Valemount in your winter vacation plans this year.

Nestled in the valley where the Cariboo, Monashee and Rocky mountains meet, Valemount is home to some outstanding trails that are groomed regularly to ensure a pleasant and safe ride for visitors.

One thing that makes Valemount so attractive to avid snowmobilers is its ideal location. The community is easy to get to, being just off the Yellowhead Highway on Highway 5.

Groomed trails
The trails to three popular areas—Allan Creek, Clemina Creek and Chappell Creek—are maintained and groomed regularly by the Valemount and Area Trail Society, a recently formed group consisting of local businesses and the Timberline Snow Goers Club. These groomed trails make alpine areas accessible even to novice riders, and guided tours are also available.

Endless sunshine
According to the society, Valemount is known for its many sunny days with seasonal temperatures that average around -10°C. As for the white stuff, Valemount experiences an average of 15 to 20 feet of snow a year. Allan Creek
Sledders who crave lake, bowl, meadow and steep hill riding will want to head to Allan Creek, one of the easiest trails to ride, except when there is new snow. A cabin located at the trailhead offers shelter for family picnics or a break from the cold.

Clemina Creek
The Clemina Creek trails provide great family riding, being wide and easy to ride. Located 34 kilometres south of Valemount, these trails follow a stunning valley containing the most northeasterly branch of Clemina Creek and continue along Malton Ridge between Clemina Creek and Kinbasket Lake.

The village of Valemount itself has all the amenities and hospitality required to make snowmobiling visitors feel welcome. There are several tour operators who offer excellent snowmobiling packages that cater to families or groups.
