SNOWMOBILING IN HARTNEY
Hartney trails
Submitted by Arnold Hicks, intrepid SnoReporter

Located on Provincial Highway #21, 90 kilometres southwest of Brandon, Manitoba, the Hartney Snow Trackers Snowmobile Club is a member club of the Southwest Snow Trackers, Inc., which grooms and maintains 500 kilometres of trails that link eight communities within southwestern Manitoba, as well as connecting directly to trails within Saskatchewan, the Turtle Mountain Provincial Park and North Dakota.

Hartney is the central hub of the trail system, with trails leading directly from Hartney to all other communities and destinations. The Hartney Snow Trackers are blessed with being located beside the Lauder Wildlife Management Area, and the Souris River, giving some of the best scenic and varied terrain riding available anywhere. Ride in the bush, on the hills, in the river valley, and bring a camera; wildlife is abundant.

The trails are well signed, well maintained, and well groomed to a width of more than three metres wide, allowing for two-way traffic. As well, the Town of Hartney has adopted an in-town designated route system which provides access to all local outlets providing such things as fuel, food and lodging.

Come join us for some of the best snowmobiling southwestern Manitoba has to offer.
