The snowmobile trails are the most important thing in Roblin, Manitoba.
Located on Highway 10 just 49 kilometres east of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the Roblin Snowmobile Association grooms and maintains more than 200 kilometres of trails that link into a network of trails that connects to other Manitoba communities and into Saskatchewan.
This is what were focussed on, said Peter Mysto member of the snowmobile ssociation and owner of a local Polaris dealership. We want these trails to be well signed and groomed and were doing our best.
Mysto added that the association is not concentrating on events for the coming year, and is instead working hard to maintain and improve the trail system to make sure that visitors will encounter the best sleddding possible.
The inter-provincial trail pass initiated between Saskatchewan and Manitoba has made snowmobiling more of a sustainable industry in the community which goes beyond what is required to make a sledder feel welcome.
With an in-town snowmobile route that allows riders access to all the amenities, Roblins dream of becoming a sledders home away from home has become a reality.
