SNOWMOBILING IN WEST YELLOWSTONE
So many trails to play on
This area is one of the most recognized sledding destinations

West Yellowstone is a great stop for any snowmobile enthusiast, and is known for its scenery, conditions and elevation changes.

The West Yellowstone region of Montana is a snowmobiling destination that every sledder should visit.

Some say the West Yellowstone region is the most recognized place to snowmobile in the world because of its scenery and its ample amounts of snow. In fact, the West Yellowstone region gets at least 150 inches of the white stuff a year as it borders one of the world’s oldest national parks—Yellowstone National Park.

At West Yellowstone, there are 400-plus miles of groomed trails that run through forests.

The West Yellowstone area also provides great access to some amazing trails, including its own West Yellowstone Snowmobile Trails that offer a wide range of difficulty. Whether you prefer steady trail riding or you crave powder on steep slopes, there is so much here to please your tastes.

Two Top Trail
The West Yellowstone snowmobile trail system includes the Two Top Trail, which is a popular choice among snowmobilers because of its variety of terrain and its 2,000-foot elevation. This groomed trail also offers some great scenery including Idaho’s Centennial Mountains.

Big Sky Trail
The Big Sky Trail in the West Yellowstone snowmobile trail system provides some of the best backcountry snowmobiling in Montana and quite possibly North America. This 110-mile stretch begins just north of West Yellowstone, and offers deep fields of snow with plenty of excellent hillclimbing opportunities.

The Lionshead Trail
The Lionshead Trail is an exciting experience for those seeking something a little more extreme. Following the east side of the Continental Divide, the trail climbs to over 10,000 feet.

These trails are just the tip of the iceberg for snowmobiling in West
Yellowstone. So, in order to find out about other exciting trails in this
world-class snowmobiling destination, be sure to check out www.westyellowstonenet.com.
