BIG RIVER, SASKATCHEWAN
Terrain without limits
Common sense will be the only thing that holds you back

RELAXIN': Shelters, maintained by members of the Timber Trails snowmobile club, are great places to stop, warm-up and enjoy the friendship of fellow snowmobilers during a day of exploring the trails around Big River.

Endless winter fun awaits snowmobilers who visit the community of Big River, Saskatchewan—located within the Forest Fringe, 136 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.

With approximately 200 kilometres of well-marked, groomed trails that pass through open meadows offering plenty of powder riding, this user-friendly snowmobiling region is ideal for family vacations and riders of all skill levels.
Ride the trails, lakes or fields

The main trail system in Big River is part of the Trans Canadian Snowmobile Trail, which in Saskatchewan extends from the Manitoba border to the Alberta border. The 73-kilometre stretch of Trans Canadian Snowmobile Trail that is maintained by Big River’s local snowmobile club—Timber Trails Sno-Riders—runs south of Big River to Debden and west of Big River to the junction with Leoville.

Like much of the Fringe area, Big River receives a lot of sugar-like powder and offers endless riding opportunities. Whether you want to fly at top speed across an ice-covered lake, tear up virgin snow in an open field or take the family on an easy trail ride, Big River has it all.

A welcoming town
The town of Big River is a friendly community that welcomes visitors year round. People in the area share a passion for the outdoors and are usually more than happy to let visitors know where they can find the best snowmobile trails, fishing lakes and services near by.
