SNOWMOBILING IN Meadow Lake
Explore the trails

The Northern Lights Snowmobile Association was formed in the fall of 1994. We have been grooming and signing trails for about 3 years now. We have two warm-up shelters. We typically get 1-3 feet of snow annually.

Our trails are a combination of fields, lakes, rivers and forest. We have a great mix of riding areas with low traffic volumes. Our trails connect the town of Meadow Lake, population of 5,000, to other towns like Chitek Lake, Turtle Lake, Dorintosh and Goodsoil. These towns all offer gas, food and lodging. Meadow Lake has numerous hotels, gas stations and restaurants. Licensed snowmobiles are permitted to be ridden into town. There are also some accommodations in the forest for those snowmobilers looking to stay there.

We currently have approximately 300 kilometres of groomed trail, of which 160 kilometres is the Trans Canada Snowmobile Trail. We are continuing our efforts to completely connect this trail up to Cold Lake, Alberta. The trail is currently signed up and groomed to Goodsoil, Saskatchewan.
