KOOTENAY GETAWAY: SnoRiders west photojournalist, Jeff Cooper, welcomes Kyle MacDonald to the snowy town of Yahk British Columbia

It all started with a comment that Kyle MacDonald made to CBC The Hour’s George Stroumboulopoulos.

“I would travel anywhere in the world to make a trade, except for Yahk, B.C.” said MacDonald.

With that comment—and given the fact that MacDonald started only with a paperclip and has recently traded up to a snowmobile, with no expenses incurred—we here at SnoRiders West magazine knew that we had to make MacDonald an offer.
