SNORIDERS WEST MAGAZINE BRINGS ONE RED PAPERCLIP TRADER TO KOOTENAY ROCKIES
SnoRiders West magazine brings the increasingly well-known oneredpaperclip.com trader Kyle MacDonald and two guests to the Kootenay Rockies for a unique winter getaway in exchange for MacDonald’s recently acquired 1992 snowmobile.

Based on a game called Bigger and Better that he played as a child, MacDonald decided he would use his creativity and the power of the internet to trade up from one item to another, starting only with one red paperclip, to ultimately trade up to a house.

MacDonald set up a web blog to trade his one red paperclip on July 12th, and he made his first trade for a pen (in the shape of a fish) on July 14. Since then he has traded up for a door knob, a coleman stove, a generator, a party pack, a snowmobile and now a trip for two to the Kootenay Rockies.

Kyle MacDonald’s excellent adventure to Yahk
When SnoRiders West first heard about Kyle MacDonald’s quest to trade a red paperclip to a house he had just traded for a snowmobile. He then proceeded to say on national TV that he would go anywhere in the world to make his next trade except for Yahk, British Columbia. Yahk is only 40 minutes West of where we produce SnoRiders West so we just had to make MacDonald an offer he couldn't refuse: A snowmobile trip to Yahk. To his credit MacDonald accepted the offer. Here is a pictorial report of his complete trip.
