1956 Autoboggan
JANUARY 21/03

Can you give me information on a 1956 Polaris Autoboggan and how many were produced?
—Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your enquiry. We did a little research for you about the ’56 Polaris Autoboggan.

The book,
Breaking Trail by Edgar Hetteen, founder of Polaris states, “We built 75 in 1956-1957, then increased it to more than 300 in 1957-1958.

So to say the least, other than early prototypes, the 1956/1957 machines are probably some of the rarest Polaris snowmobiles.

Do you have one? If so send us a write-up and photos, we’d love to do a story on it.

Thanks.
