Snowmobiling in Northern Saskatchewan
People who live in Northern Saskatchewan know they live in one of the most beautiful, scenic parts of the province. On the Canadian Shield, the terrain is endlessly varied, with hills, densely wooded forest lands, lakes, rivers and valleys. Add several feet of snow to this and you have a snowmobiler’s paradise. With the incredible network of trails in the region, you can spend a whole season riding and never take the same way twice.

- Lac La Ronge
- Picture it: Miles of unmarked snow; Precambrian Shield terrain that includes hills, powder bowls and wooded trails; vast fields where you can open the throttle and feel that exhilaration that hooked you on sledding in the first place—all with the added bonus of being able to sled into town during the day and ride under a full moon at night. Sound like sledder's heaven? You're close—It's Lac La Ronge.
- Lake Land
- Whether you are riding on the lakes or through the forest, you have the opportunity to see some of our abundant wildlife. There are deer, moose, elk, bear, lynx, wolves, foxes, coyotes, rabbits, martens, mink and various birds. With a little luck you might see a group of otters playing and cavorting on the ice. The forest features the beauty of branches laden with snow, long dark shadows and, in places, a haunting beauty like nothing you’ve ever seen. Species of trees include white and black spruce, tamarack, willow, aspen, black poplar and birch. You may be thrilled to see a wise old owl watching from a branch high above the trail, or you could come across a group of grouse sitting low in the trees or making their way along the forest floor. No matter what you see, you will go home with many good memories and you will feel the need to return to our beautiful land.
